If you need a place to go out with friends, family, or a first date, this is the place to be! Their game selection is incredible, we were taught to play several games throughout the night, and we had fun playing every game recommended. The employees are helpful and such a delight. We also enjoyed delicious food and drink. It’s a very affordable night out, and such a fun atmosphere!

My friends and I have been coming here for awhile. We've has a couple of friend group events. This last time we had a birthday for a friend and they allowed us to bring our storebought cake which we love. When it was time to bring our cake out there was a cake catastrophe where the cake ended up falling. Our server saved the day by catching our cake before falling to its doom on the floor. It was a harry potter themed bday cake and the employees were super apologetic and got together quickly to do some beautiful brainstorming in helping us. They did an AMAZING job and redecorated the cake to how it was while also adding a presenting a Hagrid quote from the Harry Potter book. It was so cute and we were so grateful for how they helped us. We loved seeing staff come together and create a great atmosphere. We had such a wonderful time still and it will be a great memory to share. Love this place, 10/10 staff

I went here with my mum and it was such a fun experience! We went for lunch, so the place was pretty quiet, but started to get busier around three. There was a huge selection of games and we didn't have any trouble finding something to play. The food and coffee was delicious, and the staff were super helpful and courteous, both with serving our table and with offering game suggestions. It has a splendid, cozy atmosphere and we would have stayed longer if our parking meter wasn't out of time lol. Such a cute place in downtown!

What a great place! They are open until pretty late (as compared to other places around), the coffee and other drinks are delicious (tried the recent addition - the eggnog and it was also great), the food is always fresh and delicious (tried a couple of sweet and savory options), there is also popcorn and other snacks available as the place offers hundreds of board games to play (for just 10 cad per adult). It sometimes may get a bit noisy, though (because of players). Other than that, it's a really good place for a date, friends meeting or a family gathering. ETA: cocktails and cheese&spinach dip with nachos were also awesome!

Good place to hang out and chill. Best if with friends, but you can do alone as well I usually go there by myself , not because I don't have friends, but because I go there on their least busy time morning-noon to read a book. Good atmosphere Food needs work, but the service is spectacular so it cancels out

Across the Board is truly in it's own league, the food is phenomenal I've never had any complaints but I'm sure if you had genuine complaints they'd absolutely rectify it. The service and staff absolutely go above and beyond every time, from super tailored choices of board games that exactly fits the vibe/what you're looking to play, to the legendary hospitality of servers that definitely radiate how much they love to be working here. The atmosphere even at peak dinner rushes on a weekend still hits the mark, a nice amount of background chatter but not loud enough that it drowns out your conversations.

My daughter had her 18th birthday party with her friends. The food was good, service excellent. No problem with lighting the candles and plating the Barbie cake after the sing-along. Shout out to Molly.

I love across the board! It’s such a fun place to chill and meet up with people! The ambiance is very cozy and aesthetic with nice view of the city and the beautiful chandeliers. I love the concept of playing board games at a coffee shop!! I love everything except the variety of drinks you can get, it’s a good variety but I’d like more!
